OGC Nice announced that long-standing president Jean-Pierre Rivère will relinquish his post on 20 August 2025, ending a tenure that began in July 2011 aside from a brief absence in 2019. The Ligue 1 club said current managing director Fabrice Bocquet will assume the presidency, a move endorsed by owner INEOS. Rivère, 67, cited a desire to pursue other projects but will remain involved as chairman of the club’s charitable foundation. “I need to live other adventures; it is a well-considered, calm choice,” he said. Under his stewardship Nice finished fourth in Ligue 1 last season and will enter the Champions League third qualifying round in early August.
