Dollar General Corp. has voluntarily recalled three lots of its eight-ounce Clover Valley Instant Coffee after a customer reported finding glass fragments in the product, according to a notice posted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The recall covers UPC 876941004069 with lot numbers L-5163, L-5164 and L-5165, bearing best-by dates of 12/13/2026 or 12/14/2026. The jars were sold exclusively at Dollar General stores nationwide between July 9 and July 21, 2025, in every state except Alaska and Hawaii. Although no injuries or illnesses have been reported, the FDA warns that ingesting glass could cause dental damage, lacerations of the mouth and throat, or intestinal perforation. Customers are advised to discard the coffee and contact Dollar General for a full refund while the company investigates the source of the contamination.
