The New York Rangers have signed forward Will Cuylle to a two-year contract worth $7.8 million, carrying an average annual value of $3.9 million, according to multiple league sources on Tuesday. Cuylle, 23, is coming off a breakout 2024-25 campaign in which he registered 20 goals and 45 points while adding penalty-killing duties and a physical edge to the lineup. The agreement prevents other clubs from extending an offer sheet and positions the left wing to reach restricted free agency again in 2027. The deal is similar to the two-year bridge contract Philadelphia gave 23-year-old Tyson Foerster earlier this year. After also inking defenseman Vladislav Gavrikov to a seven-year pact at $7 million annually, the Rangers project to have roughly $1.5 million in remaining salary-cap space.
