India's June 2025 auto sales data reveals mixed results across major manufacturers. Bajaj Auto reported total sales of 360,000 units, slightly missing the CNBC-TV18 estimate of 379,000 units but showing a 1% year-on-year (YoY) increase from 358,000 units. Exports surged 21% to 172,000 units from 142,000 units YoY. Escorts Kubota posted sales of 11,498 units, modestly up 2.2% YoY and slightly below the 11,677-unit estimate. Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) saw total sales rise 14% YoY to 78,969 units, surpassing the 78,188-unit estimate, with passenger vehicle sales up 18% to 47,306 units and exports increasing 1% to 2,634 units. Eicher Motors' Royal Enfield brand exceeded expectations with sales of 89,540 units, up 22% YoY from 73,141 units, and exports jumped 79% to 12,583 units from 7,024 units. TVS Motor recorded total sales of 402,000 units, a 20.5% increase YoY but below the 410,000-unit estimate; two-wheeler sales rose 20% to 386,000 units, while electric vehicle sales declined 9.2% to 14,400 units. Tata Motors experienced a 12% decline in total sales to 65,019 units, missing the 70,790-unit estimate, with commercial vehicle sales down 5% to 30,238 units and passenger vehicle sales down 15%. Ashok Leyland reported a 3% YoY sales increase to 15,333 units, close to the 15,374-unit estimate. Maruti Suzuki's total sales fell 6.3% YoY to 168,000 units, slightly below the 170,000-unit estimate; domestic sales dropped 12.2% to 130,000 units, while exports rose 21.9%. Hero MotoCorp posted total sales of 554,000 units, exceeding the 536,000-unit estimate, with a 10% YoY increase; domestic sales grew 6.9% to 525,000 units, and exports more than doubled to 28,827 units from 12,032 units YoY.
