Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for infrastructure projects worth Rs 6,350 crore in Jharkhand, including two National Highway projects valued at Rs 2,460 crore and nine major National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) projects worth Rs 3,800 crore. Among these is the state's first elevated flyover in Ranchi, the Ratu Road flyover, aimed at improving traffic flow and reducing congestion. Gadkari emphasized the central government's commitment to overhauling Jharkhand's infrastructure with plans to implement Rs 2 lakh crore worth of projects in the state. Separately, Gadkari launched the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0" tree plantation drive along the Faridabad-Noida International Airport Corridor in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The initiative, which includes planting around 17,000 trees, seeks to address environmental concerns linked to the transport sector, which contributes 40% of the country's pollution. The drive was supported by various officials and local leaders, highlighting efforts to balance infrastructure development with ecological responsibility. The Faridabad-Noida corridor will enhance connectivity between Delhi-NCR and Noida International Airport at Jewar.
