Twelve Naxalites, including nine individuals carrying a collective bounty of ₹28.50 lakh, surrendered to police in Dantewada district, Chhattisgarh, as part of the ongoing Loan Varratu campaign. Among those who surrendered was Chandrana, a Naxal with an individual bounty of ₹8 lakh, and three female Naxals. The district's Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Rai, confirmed the total bounty amount and stated that the surrendered Maoists will receive incentives of ₹50,000 each. Since the launch of the Loan Varratu campaign, a total of 1,005 Naxals have surrendered, including 205 who had bounties on their heads. The recent surrender also included two commanders among the group.
