Indonesian authorities have dismantled a criminal network involved in selling babies to families in Singapore for approximately $700 each. The police investigation revealed that out of 25 babies linked to the syndicate, 15 were sold to adopters, six were rescued, and four remain missing. The Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs, led by Tito Karnavian, is probing alleged involvement of civil registry officials (Dukcapil) in the trafficking operation. The West Java Regional Police are also seeking the biological parents of the sold infants, who may face charges. Meanwhile, Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has denied the presence of Mohammad Riza Chalid in the country, a figure implicated in the case. Indonesian immigration authorities are coordinating with Malaysian counterparts to verify Chalid's whereabouts. The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore has also refuted claims that Chalid is in Singapore.
