Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota has resigned as CEO of Indonesia's state-owned food company, PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara (Persero), after six months in the role. His resignation was submitted to the company's management and forwarded to the overseeing body. The departure comes amid reports that Mota cited a lack of support from the sovereign fund Danantara, despite Agrinas Pangan Nusantara's central role in President Prabowo's food sovereignty strategy. In a separate development, the Indonesian Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) has clarified that unblocking of bank accounts does not incur any fees. This follows the case of KH Cholil Nafis, Chairman of the Dakwah and Ukhuwah Division of the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI), whose foundation's bank account with a balance of approximately Rp 300 million was blocked by PPATK due to dormant account regulations. Cholil Nafis has urged the government to carefully consider and test policies before implementation. Additionally, the Chairman of Commission XI of Indonesia’s House of Representatives, Mukhamad Misbakhun, reaffirmed that PPATK’s account unblocking service is free of charge.
