Google has added long-requested multiple-account support to Chrome on iOS and iPadOS, allowing users with managed Google Workspace credentials to switch seamlessly between work and personal profiles within the mobile browser. Local data—such as tabs, browsing history and saved passwords—remains siloed in each profile, eliminating the need to sign out and back in when moving between professional and private tasks. The feature, rolled out on 21 July, is aimed at companies that encourage bring-your-own-device policies. It extends several Chrome Enterprise safeguards to Apple’s mobile platform, including URL filtering that can block or redirect visits to designated sites and the ability to stream security audit logs from iOS devices into the Google Admin console or a chosen security-information platform. Google said the change should help IT teams tighten oversight while letting employees use a single device for both corporate and personal browsing.
