The value of the US dollar has surged in Iran, surpassing 80,000 tomans in the free market, with reports indicating it reached 80,300 tomans. The euro is trading at 83,600 tomans, and the British pound has exceeded 101,000 tomans. This increase follows a period of economic instability and a significant depreciation of the Iranian rial, which has now hit an all-time low of 803,000 rials to 1 USD. In Brazil, the dollar's exchange rate has also been volatile, with the currency reaching R$ 6.38 on Google, prompting the Attorney General's Office (AGU) to investigate potential discrepancies. The AGU is considering legal action against Google for displaying incorrect dollar values, as the official closing rate was R$ 6.18 prior to the Christmas holiday. The Brazilian Central Bank has intervened in the market, selling US$ 3 billion in an attempt to stabilize the currency, but the dollar continues to fluctuate, recently trading at R$ 6.15 following the intervention.
