The Italian football club Monza, previously owned by the Berlusconi family for nearly 40 years, has been sold to the American investment fund Beckett Layne Ventures (BLV). The transaction involved the sale of 80% of the shares initially, with the remaining 20% to be transferred after 12 months, totaling a purchase price of 45 million euros. This sale marks the end of the Berlusconi family's involvement in Italian football, which began in 1986 with Silvio Berlusconi's ownership of AC Milan. Monza was recently relegated to the Italian second division before the sale. Separately, former LAFC player and legendary defender Giorgio Chiellini has joined the LAFC ownership group, expressing pride in his new role and enthusiasm for the club's culture and ambitions.
