TSV 1860 München said on 5 July that Jordanian businessman Hasan Ismaik has agreed to sell his entire stake in the third-division football club to an unnamed Swiss family holding, drawing a line under a 14-year and often contentious partnership that began in 2011. The parties have kept the purchase price confidential but stated that all loans Ismaik previously extended to the club will be written off, except for funding already committed for the current season’s licence. The transaction is expected to close next week. Club officials described the new investor as a long-term partner and restated plans to pursue promotion to the 2. Bundesliga and to modernise the Grünwalder Stadion in coordination with the city of Munich.
