Kadokawa’s B’s-Log Bunko imprint said on 4 July that it has approved an anime adaptation of the light-novel series “The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom.” Further production details, including studio, cast and broadcast window, were not disclosed. Written by Punichan with illustrations by Akeno Naruse, the romantic fantasy follows a woman reincarnated as the villainess of her favourite otome game who receives an unexpected proposal from a neighbouring prince. The series spans 14 volumes and has more than 5.6 million copies in circulation. It has already inspired a manga and a 2024 Nintendo Switch game available in English on PC via Steam.
