Benson Murkomen and Emily Chepkemoi emerged as the champions of the 2025 Nairobi City Marathon, held on July 6. Murkomen won the men's 42-kilometer race with a time of 2:08:38, while Chepkemoi claimed the women's title in 2:21:03. Each winner received a prize of 3.5 million Kenyan shillings. The event marked the fourth edition of the Nairobi City Marathon and attracted over 15,000 participants. The total prize money distributed among various winners amounted to 24 million Kenyan shillings. In the half marathon category, Evans Kipchumba and Nelvin Jepkemboi were notable performers. Additionally, at the Sigona Golf Club leg of the 2025 NCBA Golf Series, Sandeep Matharu and Zipporah Gichigi were the top performers.
