Athletics Kenya has announced its team for the 2025 World Athletics Championships scheduled to take place in Tokyo, Japan, in September. The selection followed trials held at the Ulinzi Sports Complex, where Janeth Chepngetich secured a spot by winning the 10,000-meter race. The team features prominent athletes including Faith Kipyegon, Beatrice Chebet, and Ferdinand Omanyala. Notably, both Kipyegon and Chebet will compete in two different events. Other qualifiers include Agnes Ngetich and Ferdinand Omanyala. The Kenyan team is set to commence a six-week training camp in preparation for the championships.
