Kenyan President William Ruto has initiated the construction of the Global Centre on Adaptation's dual headquarters at the Kenya School of Government in Nairobi. The groundbreaking ceremony emphasized Kenya's commitment to climate action and the integration of climate adaptation into public service to promote climate-responsive governance. The new African headquarters is expected to be completed by mid-2027, reinforcing Kenya's role in global climate resilience efforts. Additionally, President Ruto toured the ongoing Kilimani Police Housing Project in Nairobi, which involves the construction of 542 affordable housing units for police officers. The project, supported by the Ministry of Lands and Housing under Cabinet Secretary Alice Wahome, aims to improve living conditions for security personnel.
