Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a telephone conversation with newly elected South Korean President Lee Jae-myung on 17 July, the Turkish Communications Directorate said. Erdogan congratulated Lee on his election and expressed hope of advancing the countries’ strategic partnership. The two leaders agreed to broaden cooperation in several high-technology and energy-related fields, including defense industries, nuclear power, green energy and artificial intelligence. Erdogan also invited Lee to make an official visit to Türkiye.
