FC Barcelona’s pre-season tour reached South Korea this week, with sporting director Deco joining the squad and greeting president Joan Laporta in Seoul. The Catalan side is using the trip, which follows a win against Vissel Kobe in Japan, to fine-tune under new coach Hansi Flick ahead of the coming La Liga campaign. Barcelona fielded a near-first-choice lineup against K-League outfit FC Seoul on Thursday at the Seoul World Cup Stadium, starting Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and 17-year-old Lamine Yamal across the front line. Lewandowski struck first after 14 minutes, finishing a rebound off the post, and Yamal added a second five minutes later with an audacious back-heel. Seoul capitalised on a Yamal turnover to pull one back and levelled through defender Yazan Al-Arab, but Yamal restored Barcelona’s advantage on the stroke of half-time with a curling shot from the edge of the box. The visitors led 3–2 at the interval, with the friendly continuing at the time of publication.
