Sertaç Taşdelen, the founder of the AI-powered fortune-telling mobile applications and websites "Faladdin" and "Binnaz," has been detained by Turkish authorities. The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office initiated the investigation, leading to the seizure of Taşdelen's bank accounts and assets. The probe centers on allegations that Taşdelen earned illicit income through paid divination services and transferred these funds abroad. Following his detention, Taşdelen was referred to the Magistrate's Court and subsequently arrested. The Financial Crimes Investigation Board (MASAK) report cited in the investigation confirmed that Taşdelen moved illegal earnings overseas. This legal action marks a crackdown on unauthorized digital services and alleged financial misconduct associated with the popular fortune-telling platforms.
