BlackRock and Ark 21Shares have continued to trim their digital-asset exposure, unloading a combined $147 million of Bitcoin and Ether this week, according to on-chain transaction data and ETF flow trackers. A wallet linked to BlackRock transferred 19,504.95 Ether valued at about $82.7 million, while Ark 21Shares moved roughly 559.85 Bitcoin worth $64.4 million. Separate data show BlackRock also redeemed 490 Bitcoin, or about $68.7 million, and Fidelity withdrew 17,536.56 Ether for roughly $74.3 million, underscoring a broader pullback by major issuers. The disposals coincided with two straight sessions of sizeable redemptions from U.S. crypto exchange-traded funds. Bitcoin funds saw outflows of $121.81 million on Monday and $523.3 million on Tuesday, while Ether products lost $196.62 million and $422.2 million, respectively, erasing much of the inflows recorded during a two-week rally earlier in August. Market strategists said the selling reflects a cautious stance among institutional investors ahead of the Federal Reserve’s Jackson Hole symposium and could pressure crypto prices in the near term if redemptions persist.
