BlackRock has made substantial purchases in the cryptocurrency market over the past several days, focusing primarily on Ethereum and Bitcoin. On August 25, BlackRock's spot Ethereum ETF acquired approximately 65,900 Ethereum tokens valued at $314.9 million. The following day, August 26, the firm continued its accumulation by purchasing an additional 20,000 Ethereum tokens worth around $89 million. On August 27, BlackRock, along with Fidelity, bought $408.6 million worth of Ethereum. Specifically, BlackRock alone acquired $323.1 million worth of Ethereum, including 73,860 tokens. Additionally, BlackRock purchased $45 million worth of Bitcoin for their ETF on August 27. Whale investors have also been active, with four whale addresses collectively buying $69.4 million of Ethereum, bringing their total holdings to $140 million. These transactions indicate a strong buying trend by institutional investors and large holders in the cryptocurrency market, particularly in Ethereum.
