Luxury fashion house Gucci has begun accepting cryptocurrency payments at several of its U.S. boutiques, allowing customers to pay for merchandise with Ethereum and Dogecoin. The pilot program marks one of the most prominent adoptions of digital assets within the high-end retail sector. Gucci did not immediately specify how many locations are involved or whether additional tokens will be added, but the move underscores the brand’s effort to broaden payment options and appeal to tech-savvy shoppers. Other retailers have experimented with crypto payments, yet uptake among luxury labels has remained limited until now.
