Following the controversy, she appeared before the Mexico City Superior Court of Justice for a discrimination charge related to the incident. Her initial hearing was postponed to July 28, 2025. Upon leaving the court, Pichel was confronted and physically harassed by protesters who threw liquids and shouted insults, forcing her to flee quickly and lose her handbag. Separately, a similar incident involving a Peruvian woman dubbed "Lady Peruana" was reported in the Narvarte neighborhood, where she was recorded insulting, spitting on, and physically assaulting security guards in a residential building after complaints about noise levels.
