Mexican authorities have dismantled the criminal cell known as "Los Alfas," which operated in the Valle de Toluca region and was linked to the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG). The operation, involving federal, state, and local agencies, resulted in the arrest of 27 suspected members. "Los Alfas" were reportedly involved in high-impact crimes including kidnappings, homicides, and extortion. Separately, a coordinated security operation in Chiapas and Guerrero led to the seizure of a methamphetamine laboratory and a warehouse containing chemical precursors. Authorities confiscated 2.5 tons of methamphetamine and an additional 4 tons of precursor chemicals. Additionally, a man was detained in Mexico City's Gustavo A. Madero borough for possession of drugs and alleged involvement in drug sales via social media. These actions were coordinated by the Mexican Secretariat of Security and Protection Citizens (SSPC), led by Omar García Harfuch, with support from the Federal Attorney General’s Office (FGR) and the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA).
