Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has nominated Maria del Carmen Bonilla as the new Deputy Finance Minister, filling the position that has been vacant since March following Edgar Zamora's promotion. Bonilla, who previously headed public credit and international affairs, is set to assume a key role in the Ministry of Finance. The Senate is scheduled to discuss her nomination. In her new capacity, Bonilla has indicated that further measures will be introduced to support Pemex, Mexico's state oil company. She affirmed Pemex's viability and revealed plans for a third liquidity action involving the reduction of the company's debt amortizations.
