Haaretz reported that as many as 500 Palestinians have been killed near the aid sites, citing medical and humanitarian sources. Kemp, who was wearing body armour while speaking from one of the locations, dismissed those figures. Moments before the video ended, the sound of sustained gunfire could be heard in the background, underscoring the volatility around food deliveries.
