The Gaza Strip continues to experience a severe humanitarian crisis marked by ongoing Israeli military operations and a worsening famine. Since August 3, at least 188 Palestinians have died from starvation and malnutrition, including 94 children, according to Gaza health sources. The death toll from Israeli gunfire and airstrikes has also escalated, with reports of 57 to 92 fatalities in single days, many of whom were aid seekers. On August 6, a food aid truck overturned in the central Gaza area of Nousseirat, killing at least 20 Palestinians who were waiting for assistance, as confirmed by the Gaza Civil Defense and health officials. Humanitarian agencies, including the UN World Food Programme, warn of widespread malnutrition and an unfolding famine, with only half of the required aid entering Gaza. UNICEF reports that 28 children are killed daily in Gaza amid the ongoing conflict. The cumulative death toll from the Israeli offensive has reached over 60,000 Palestinians, including more than 18,000 children, as reported by Gaza health authorities.
