Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg has announced plans to lead a new humanitarian flotilla aimed at breaking the Israeli blockade of Gaza. The convoy, named the Soumoud Convoy, is scheduled to depart from multiple Mediterranean ports, including Spain on August 31 and Tunisia on September 4. This initiative represents the largest attempt yet, involving over 50 ships and activists from 44 countries. The flotilla's objective is to deliver humanitarian aid to Palestinians in Gaza while challenging what organizers describe as an illegal siege imposed by Israel. Thunberg and other activists intend to confront not only the physical blockade but also restrictions on media coverage and social media algorithms related to the conflict.
