Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that five Hamas operatives in Gaza disguised themselves as aid workers from the World Central Kitchen (WCK) by using a vehicle marked with the WCK logo and wearing yellow vests. The IDF confirmed these individuals were armed and eliminated them in an airstrike near Deir al-Balah. The World Central Kitchen officially stated that the vehicle and persons involved were not affiliated with their organization and condemned the impersonation, emphasizing that such actions endanger civilians and humanitarian workers. New drone footage released by the IDF corroborated the use of this disguise by Hamas militants. Additionally, reports from Palestinian journalists allege that Hamas is involved in stealing humanitarian aid and selling it in Gaza markets, as well as raiding journalists' homes to confiscate devices from those not supporting Hamas propaganda. The exploitation of humanitarian symbols by Hamas has raised concerns about the safety of genuine aid efforts in the region.
