Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers have been involved in multiple animal rescue operations in and around the Gaza Strip. They rescued a donkey that had been abused and had its legs tied up, as well as a dog from the battlefield, which was brought back to Israel to be placed with a family. Two female IDF soldiers also freed a camel whose legs had been tied after abuse. Additionally, the IDF provided water to a puppy in Gaza. Reports indicate that Israel has rescued hundreds of donkeys from Gaza to protect them from abuse and torture. These actions have drawn criticism from pro-Palestinian groups, who have accused Israel of theft and alleged war crimes. Separately, Israeli police were observed assisting a mother duck and her ducklings to cross a busy road safely, highlighting ongoing animal welfare efforts within Israel.
Only in Israel can you see a police officer stop in the middle of heavy traffic to help a mother duck and her babies cross safely. 🇮🇱 https://t.co/fI3vUMTe0b
