The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have intensified their military operations in the Gaza Strip, striking over 140 terror targets within a 24-hour period as of July 1, 2025. These targets included Hamas members, weapons depots, tunnels, military buildings, rocket launchers, and other terrorist infrastructure. Notably, the 99th Division identified and eliminated two terrorists who were attempting to plant explosives against Israeli forces. The 36th Division expanded its operations, killing dozens of militants and destroying multiple terror sites. By July 3, 2025, the IDF reported hitting approximately 150 terror targets across Gaza, including sniper nests and a terrorist cell responsible for recent rocket attacks on southern Israeli communities such as Sderot and Eybim. The Nahal Brigade commenced operations in northern Gaza, targeting dozens of terror sites. The IDF stated that these actions are part of ongoing efforts to remove threats and continue until all terrorist capabilities are neutralized. These operations are conducted under the command of the Southern Command with intelligence support from Aman and Shin Bet.
