The Gaza Strip continues to experience severe humanitarian distress amid ongoing Israeli military actions and blockade. Over the past 24 hours, Israeli forces have killed more than 70 Palestinians in airstrikes and bombings, including at least 12 fatalities reported in the latest attacks. The Gaza Health Ministry stated that since October 2023, the death toll attributed to Israeli military operations has reached 61,369. Among the casualties are numerous civilians, including 29 who died while attempting to access humanitarian aid. The blockade has also led to widespread malnutrition and starvation, resulting in the deaths of Palestinian children. Notably, five-year-old Jamal Fadi Al-Najjar died after losing nearly half his body weight due to prolonged starvation exacerbated by congenital health issues. An 18-day-old infant, Zein Nassar, also died from severe malnutrition and lack of medical care, compounded by coronary artery failure. Health authorities report a total of 227 Palestinians have died from starvation linked to the blockade. The ongoing famine campaign and military assaults have intensified the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
