Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank have resulted in a high number of Palestinian casualties over recent days. According to Gaza's Ministry of Health and multiple medical sources, at least 100 Palestinians were killed and more than 500 injured in the Gaza Strip within a 24-hour period ending August 12, 2025. Many of the victims were civilians, including a substantial number of individuals waiting for humanitarian aid, with reports indicating that up to 39 of those killed in certain incidents were aid seekers. Israeli airstrikes targeted residential areas, including the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood and northern Khan Younis, resulting in the destruction of homes and civilian gatherings. Specific attacks included bombing of a school sheltering displaced Palestinians and strikes on a market area in Sheikh Radwan. In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces intensified raids across multiple towns and refugee camps, including Nablus, Shuafat, and Hebron areas, conducting arrests and large-scale search operations.
