Israeli warplanes conducted a wave of air strikes across the Gaza Strip on 9 July, hitting residential and commercial sites in Gaza City and central Gaza, according to local reports. The raids began in the morning with strikes on the Al-Shawwa and Al-Husari residential tower in Gaza City and on a house belonging to the Zaqqout family in the Nuseirat refugee camp. Additional sorties later in the day damaged several commercial buildings in the crowded Al Zawyah market area east of the city, while another house was bombed in Deir Al-Balah. Witnesses reported extensive structural damage and rising plumes of smoke at the affected locations. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
