On July 16, 2025, Israeli forces conducted a series of airstrikes and artillery shelling across multiple locations in the Gaza Strip, resulting in numerous Palestinian casualties and extensive property damage. In the Nuseirat refugee camp, an airstrike on a mourning house killed four Palestinians, including Abdullah Al-Hour, Dr. Saeed Al-Fayoumi, and Abu Musa Al-Ashqar. Additional strikes in Nuseirat and nearby areas caused further deaths and injuries. Residential buildings were destroyed in Jabalia, Khan Younis, Rafah, and Gaza City, with multiple homes detonated by Israeli forces. Notably, two Palestinians were killed in an airstrike on Abu Hasira Street west of Gaza City, and a child was killed with several wounded in artillery shelling of Al-Bureij refugee camp. Other affected areas included Deir al-Balah, Beit Hanoun, Al-Tuffah neighborhood, and Al-Zaytoun district. The Israeli military also carried out demolitions of residential buildings in central Khan Younis and northwest Rafah amid ongoing airstrikes. The attacks involved low-flying aircraft and intensive artillery bombardment, targeting homes, streets, and refugee camps throughout northern, central, and southern Gaza. Casualties included men, women, and children, with many injured in addition to the reported fatalities.
