Israeli forces have intensified military operations in the Gaza Strip, particularly targeting northern and eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City including Jabalia al-Balad, Jabalia al-Nazla, Al-Zaytoun, Sabra, Zeitoun, Sheikh Radwan, Al-Shujaiya, and Al-Rimal. The attacks involved airstrikes, tank shelling, and the use of explosive-laden remote-controlled armored vehicles, described as "exploding robots," which have caused widespread destruction of residential buildings, homes, schools, and displacement tents. In southern Gaza, Israeli warplanes conducted two successive airstrikes on the reception department of Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, the largest hospital in the area. These strikes resulted in at least 14 fatalities, including three journalists: Reuters photojournalists Hussam Al-Masri and Hatem Omar (injured), Al Jazeera photojournalist Mohammad Salama, and journalist Maryam Abu Daqqa. The attacks also injured members of the civil defense team and rescue personnel. The strikes on Nasser Medical Complex were partially broadcast live and caused significant damage to the hospital's upper floors, with rescue efforts ongoing amid continuing shelling. The total number of journalists killed during the ongoing Israeli military campaign has reached 241. Israeli officials have vowed to continue their offensive on Gaza City.
