Israeli military strikes in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of at least 20 people, including five journalists, during attacks near Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. The Israeli military reportedly bombed the hospital twice, killing at least 15 others in addition to the journalists. An Israeli Instagram user, Rafael Hayun, allegedly urged the IDF to strike Nasser Hospital, accusing reporters there of collaborating with Hamas. The Journalists Syndicate held protests demanding protection for field journalists amid systematic targeting. The attacks have drawn condemnation from various media and human rights observers, who call for international intervention to ensure journalists' safety and access to Gaza. Additionally, a four-year-old child, Juri Lafi, was killed in an Israeli airstrike on displaced persons’ tents in Al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis. The Israeli media has been criticized for both relying on Gaza journalists for information and for insufficiently addressing the killings of journalists since October 7.
