Netanyahu on hostage-ceasefire negotiations: “President Trump wants a deal, but not at any price. I want a deal, but not at any price. Israel has security requirements and other requirements, and we’re working together to try to achieve it”
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is determined to end Hamas’s control of the Gaza Strip and is coordinating closely with U.S. President Donald Trump on a potential hostage-ceasefire agreement. In a televised interview, Netanyahu said both leaders "want a deal, but not at any price," insisting any arrangement must address Israel’s security needs. Netanyahu reiterated that Israel will not forcibly remove Gaza’s population, but believes Palestinians should be free to leave the enclave if they choose. "We will not expel anyone from Gaza; the residents will have the option of voluntary departure," he said, adding that existing mechanisms for delivering humanitarian aid without Hamas’s involvement would remain in place.
