United Airlines to resume US service to Tel Aviv https://t.co/62S7sEr6FZ
United Airlines said it will restart daily service between Newark Liberty International Airport and Tel Aviv on 21 July, making it the first U.S. carrier to return to Israel after a month-long hiatus. The airline suspended the route on 12 June, a day after Israeli strikes on Iran prompted carriers to avoid the airspace. United initially planned to keep the pause in place until at least 31 July but brought the date forward following what it called an improved operating environment and consultations with pilot and flight-attendant unions. The move comes even as the U.S. State Department maintains a Level 3 advisory urging Americans to reconsider travel to Israel because of terrorism and civil unrest. Competitors American Airlines and Delta Air Lines have not set return dates, while Israeli carriers El Al and Arkia continue to fly between the two countries.
