Tabriz International Airport resumed operations on 5 July after a 23-day shutdown caused by damage sustained during Israeli airstrikes in a recent 12-day conflict. Runway repairs and other reconstruction work have been completed, according to Ramin Azari, director-general of East Azerbaijan Airports. The first post-repair flight, operated by Iranian carrier Ata Airlines, departed Tabriz for Istanbul on Saturday morning. Airport authorities said both international and domestic services are now cleared to restart, restoring an important air link for north-western Iran.
