Video released by Al Jazeera on 29 June shows an Israeli drone firing on a Palestinian man carrying a sack of flour in Gaza City’s Al-Shujaiya district. The man was returning to his family amid widespread food shortages, according to the broadcaster. Separate footage circulated on 4 July by Israeli military-linked media and regional outlets captures a drone strike that killed two Palestinian youths walking home with food in central Khan Younis. Later the same day, an Israeli drone reportedly injured two more civilians near the Asdaa neighbourhood northwest of the city. Al Jazeera English said Israel has killed about 600 people attempting to collect provisions at sites operated by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. The United Nations condemned the pattern of attacks as “an abomination” and warned that food distribution points in the enclave have become “a death trap.” Israeli authorities had not issued a public response at the time of the reports.
