The Yemeni Houthi movement has reported active aerial confrontations with Israeli forces, describing the situation as a response to what they term "Zionist aggression". Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree stated that Yemen's air defense effectively repelled many Israeli attacks using a large number of domestically produced surface-to-air missiles. In retaliation, Israel's Defense Minister Israel Katz announced strikes on what he described as "terrorist targets" linked to the Houthi regime at the port of Hodeidah in Yemen, warning that Yemen's fate would mirror that of Tehran. Subsequently, the Houthis claimed responsibility for drone attacks targeting five Israeli sites, including Ben Gurion and Ramon airports, the port of Eilat (also known as Umm Rashrash), and military and strategic locations in Jaffa and Ashdod. These developments indicate an escalation in hostilities between the Yemeni Houthis and Israel, involving both offensive and defensive operations across air and maritime domains.
