The Los Angeles Dodgers placed utility man Kiké Hernández on the 10-day injured list with left elbow inflammation, manager Dave Roberts said Monday. The issue, stemming from an awkward slide in late May, worsened over the weekend; the club expects Hernández back shortly after next week’s All-Star break. Los Angeles filled the vacancy by recalling outfielder James Outman from Triple-A Oklahoma City and selecting the contract of right-hander Julian Fernández. Left-hander Justin Wrobleski was optioned, and infielder CJ Alexander was designated for assignment to open a 40-man roster spot. Roberts added that right-hander Tyler Glasnow will be activated from the injured list to start Wednesday in Milwaukee, marking his first outing since April 27. The roster shuffle follows a punishing weekend in which the Dodgers were swept at home by the Houston Astros, highlighted by an 18-1 rout that stands as the franchise’s most lopsided loss at Dodger Stadium. The club begins a three-game series against the Brewers on Monday. Separately, rookie right-hander Roki Sasaki, sidelined with a right-shoulder impingement, is expected to need at least six to seven more weeks of rehabilitation, pushing his potential return into mid-August.
