Major League Baseball has announced several replacements to the 2025 All-Star rosters. Robert Suarez, the San Diego Padres closer, has been added to the National League All-Star team as a replacement for the injured Chris Sale, marking Suarez's second consecutive All-Star appearance. This addition brings the Padres' representation to four players at the All-Star Game in Atlanta. On the American League side, Isaac Paredes of the Houston Astros was named as a replacement for Jose Ramirez, making him an All-Star in his first year with the Astros. Paredes' selection contributes to a historic milestone, as four Mexican-born players will participate in the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, a first in the event's history. Detroit Tigers utilityman Zach McKinstry was also added to the American League roster, replacing Jeremy Peña, which ties the Tigers with the Los Angeles Dodgers for the most All-Stars at five each. Additionally, Casey Mize has been added to the American League All-Star roster, increasing the Tigers' total to six All-Stars, the highest in MLB this year.
