The Arizona Department of Transportation has closed Interstate 8 due to flooded roadways. Recent radar reports indicate scattered showers and storms over southwestern Maricopa County and La Paz County, producing frequent lightning, gusty winds, and locally heavy rainfall. Flash Flood Warnings are also in effect northeast of State Route 72. Authorities advise travelers to avoid flooded roads and exercise caution due to ongoing weather conditions.
