Multiple wildfires continue to burn across Utah, Colorado, and Arizona, causing extensive damage and prompting evacuations. The Monroe Canyon Fire in Sevier County, Utah, has grown to approximately 5,026 acres with 0% containment, threatening dozens of structures and leading to evacuation orders as it advances toward Magleby and Cove Mountain. A new fire, the Cove Fire, has also started nearby in Sevier County, currently estimated at 25 acres and actively growing on Bureau of Land Management land. In Colorado, the Turner Gulch Fire in Mesa County expanded rapidly overnight from 1,500 acres to over 8,140 acres with 0% containment, resulting in additional evacuation orders and the closure of a portion of the Uncompahgre Plateau. The South Rim Fire in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Colorado, has reached 4,160 acres and remains uncontained. Meanwhile, in Arizona, the Dragon Bravo Fire on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon has burned over 9,289 acres, destroying more than 110 structures and spreading thick smoke across the area. The White Sage Fire near Jacob Lake, Arizona, has scorched over 49,000 acres with 0% containment, causing an 87-mile closure of Highway 89A. Firefighters are contending with extreme weather conditions, including a fire tornado in Utah that caused EF2 damage to a home. Efforts continue with multiple incident management teams overseeing firefighting operations across these regions.
