The National Weather Service in Boulder reported that strong storms are expected to move east of Limon and through the Pikes Peak and Colorado Springs areas, with showers and storms increasing over the mountains and spreading onto the plains by evening. These stronger storms are anticipated to produce heavy rain and hail. Additionally, there were reports of livestock, specifically pigs, reacting to thunder sounds during the storm events.
