Multiple tornado warnings have been issued across several states in the central United States between August 3 and August 8, 2025. Kansas counties including Gove, Tribune, Horace, Greeley, Syracuse, and Coolidge experienced tornado warnings with varying expiration times from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM MDT. Severe storms with damaging winds exceeding 80 mph and large hail were reported moving from southwest Kansas into northern and western Oklahoma during the evening of August 3. Colorado counties such as Ninaview, Bent, Las Animas, and Andrix were under tornado warnings until as late as 8:45 PM MDT on August 5. On August 5 and 6, tornado warnings extended to North Dakota counties including Dickey, McIntosh, Lidgerwood, Wyndmere, and Westhope, as well as South Dakota's McPherson County and towns like Veblen and Claire City. These warnings persisted into the early hours of August 8, with additional warnings covering areas such as Fillmore, Maddock, Kensal, Cooperstown, McVille, and Grand Forks counties in North Dakota. Minnesota locations including East Grand Forks, Warren, Fertile, Climax, Beltrami, Fosston, and Mahnomen were also under tornado warnings until 5:15 AM CDT on August 8. The National Weather Service advised residents to have multiple ways to receive warning information due to the fast-moving nature of these storms and the potential for damaging winds and tornadoes.
