Tesla on 8 August released a video demonstrating its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) software navigating city streets in Auckland, New Zealand. The clip, filmed in a Model Y, shows the vehicle handling lane changes, intersections and roundabouts without driver input, while a safety operator monitored the route. The public test is Tesla’s first disclosed trial of FSD in New Zealand and suggests the company is preparing to expand the software beyond its current markets, pending local regulatory approval. Tesla has not announced a launch date or pricing for the region.
