San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Demarcus Robinson pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor driving-under-the-influence charge stemming from his Nov. 25 arrest in Los Angeles, according to court filings cited by the Orange County Register. A Los Angeles judge sentenced the 30-year-old to 36 months of probation, a $390 fine plus assessments, and completion of a three-month alcohol course as well as a hospital-and-morgue program, the City Attorney’s Office said. Two related counts—driving with a blood-alcohol level above 0.08% and driving without a valid license—were dismissed. Robinson’s attorney said the receiver has already satisfied most conditions and expects the case to be expunged after 18 months if he remains in compliance. With the legal matter resolved, the NFL can now determine league discipline; San Francisco signed Robinson in March aware he may face a three-game suspension under its substance-abuse policy.
